50" x 66" (127cm x 168cm) This is 100% ethically sourced all natural medium weight linen. (200 GSM/6 OZ) Backed with indigo dyed cotton, and stuffed with a thin layer of recycled poly fiber batting.
First I hand "anti dyed" the linen in color remover using shibori folding and sewing techniques. Then I hand silkscreened 2/3 times, layering the different images; of metallic gold grooming chickens and teal boar skulls. Images/patterns are original designs of mine, that are hand drawn, original photographs, or digitally manipulated objects.
Backing is 100% osnaburg cotton, which is often called a "peasants" clothe. I hand dyed two pieces in organic (100% natural) indigo vat, thoroughly washed them, then pieced them into larger piece.
(Each piece is set in high heat so the textile ink I print with is washable. But the batting used is not pinned, so dry cleaning is ultimately suggested.)
