Ship me your older clothing items and I'll dip them in our ORGANIC True Indigo Vat!

Prewashed all natural fiber required (ie. linen, cotton, silk) in UNSCENTED preferably pH balanced soap.

Light fabric works best, but can also be "over dyed" on any colored fibers. Blue will either dominate that color or the blue will take the tone of the under-color.

Price per item is by gram. Once item is received it will be weighed and you'll be offered an estimate. Choose 2 dips-Light, 4 dips-Medium, or 6 dips-Dark which pertains to the times your item/s enter the vat, are oxidized, and then reenters the vat. Keep in mind all fabric responds a little differently to being dyed in indigo and the tones and shades will differ piece to piece. 

The coloring of the outcome is ultimately based on the age of the vat at the time (but tends to be pretty dark) and the type of fiber.

Minimum order is $65. Discounts given when multiple pieces are brought in together. Ultimate discount and you wash them on your own (inquire about that).

Pieces are dyed (dip after dip), thoroughly washed several times, and fixed for you. Pieces are air dried and not ironed. Sometimes hand dyed, air dried pieces can be a little stiff. Steam ironing, making a light fabric softener afterbath, or just wearing can help soften your renewed piece. If you require an softener afterbath, let me know. Additional charges will be applied.

The indigo is organic Indigofera tinctoria. Currently using an ferrous (iron) reducing agent. 

Indigo is the most lightfast of all natural dyes. However without proper care the items can fade. Direct UV light (like outside line drying) and harsh washing will fade the piece quicker. Though your item will always be blue, it will be a lighter shade with time. A piece can always be re-dyed to darken. 

Proper washing instructions for your indigo dyed piece: Cold water gentle cycle wash in pH balanced, phosphate free detergent, air/line dry away from the sun.
